“Ooooooh, so this is what they had to do.”

Savia looked around at the burnt remains of Premunte.  A moment ago, she had been in a very dark cave.  Must have been some sort of illusion magic.  Savia wandered through the city, heading to where the Dragon Heart base was.  She knew she had to go there.  It was the only thing still partically standing.

As she neared her destination, she started seeing charred skeletons of varying sizes….but each with it’s own distinguishing features.  A red piece of plate armor still loosely handing from the remains of Fallon.  The winged skeleton of Finda was pinned to a wall.  Yori’s remains were also slumped along the side walk.  Savia tried her best not to make eye contact with these scene’s, but it was nearly impossible.

Savia final entered and opened the door to Dragon Heart, noticing Xiacon’s black armor collapsed into ash as it was disturbed by the door.  As Savia looked around, she noticed multiple other remains around the room and bar…and then she noticed a creature coated in blue flames.  The only parts of her that wasn’t blue, were the three red flamed eyes.  She was sitting on the bar as if she owned the place, picking at some kind of cloth in her hands.

“There you are.  I would have been wondering if it wasn’t completely obvious.”  Savia stepped toward the monster.  “Seriously, isn’t this all a bit theatrical.  You’d have to do a lot more to me to make me break down, you know that.”

The creature remained still for a moment, then it threw the object it was toying with at Savia’s feet.  It was a set of green chain mail.  Savia made to step back as she noticed what it was, then sighed and replanted herself.

“Ok, that was clever.  But while these visions do make me sad, you know how I was raised.  Sadness is unavoidable, but the ability to control sadness is very possible.  Showing me my fears that I already know isn’t gonna cut it with me.”

The woman continued to stare.  Then finally it spoke.  “You know this will eventually pass.”

Savia pondered this statement.  “Know?  I count on it to happen.”  She looked around.  “In fact I expect some like this…though not on this large a scale.” She looked down at the chain mail.  “I’m pretty sure the city may get damaged and there will be few injured.  But I highly doubtso many will end up dead.”

The creature tilted its head. “That’s impossible.  The power of my people was feared for a reason…” She stood up and the scene around her changed.  It was still a burning city, but it was a different city.  One that was long since dead.  Savia’s birth city. “…it was so feared…that it lead to their execution.”

Savia look around, seemingly unimpressed however her stare did linger.  “…as I said, I know it will come.”

“So you will watch your friends die…by my hand?”

Savia gave a big grin. “Oh please.  If I was worried about my friend’s dying, why would I have made them friends in the first place?”  The creature stared at her, unblinking.  Savia waved her hands at her chidingly. “Come ooooon…that wasn’t rhetorical.  I know you know the answer.  You do know me and my brain better than anybody.”

The walked forward until it was about a foot away from the blue haired made.  A fired flicked outword at Savia’s headband causing it to fall.  Savia didn’t flinch at all…her only reaction to the strike was her now visible third eye blinking once.  “…you think you’re friends can stop us.”

Savia shrugged, tipping either side like some odd balance. “Half right.” She then pointed at the creature, almost touching its nose. “My friends will save me…and I will not lose a single one of them.”

At that statement, the flames around the creature dissipated.  An exact copy of Savia stood there, hear hair down.  She stared blankly at Savia and smirked.  “On the honor of our people….I do hope you’re right.”  And she extended her hand Savia.

Savia grinned.  “No need to hope. Just know I’m right.” And she grasped the hand, causing the scene and the copy of Savia to vanish back into darkness.  Savia turned around and walked out the exit of the cave.

“Well!  That was easy!” Everybody was staring at her as she exited, a few a bit wide eyed. “What wrong?”  One of the mages pointed to her forehead.  “Oh yeah….there’s a third eye under my head band guys.”
