A New Dawn:
Chapter 1: Dawn of a Lucky Day, Part 1 - The Incubus

Ame Funayurei threw a needle into the nearest tree.  She and her Squad had been assigned to village patrol that day.  There was news of some idiots dressing in black cloaks with a red cloud pattern.  It was the outfit worn by the old Akatsuki group that had wreaked havoc all across the country about 3 years ago.  To be wearing one of those now was practically asking for trouble.

At the moment, Ame was taking a short break.  She had been walking around the forest to the northeast of the Great Naruto Bridge.  This was a very boring task and at the moment was content with just turning the tree into a giant pincushion, one needle at a time.

"What are you doing?"

Ame nearly toppled over as the masked ninja above her spoke.  Seeing the attire the person was wearing told her immediately who it was.

"OBORO!!! Stop sneaking around and take that stupid mask off.  It's not required for this mission."

Oboro took off the ANBU mask covering his face.  That didn't do much, since his mouth was still covered under the mask.

"You should be patrolling.  Why are you just sitting here?"

"Cause I'm taking a break.  Duh."

"You need more training if you tire out so easily.  All you've been doing is walking around in circle."

Ame glared at her partner.  "And what do you think you're doing?  You're standing here talking to me as if I care about you opinion."

Oboro shook her head and vanished, leaving Ame to fume about Oboro's attitude.

Hidden in the forest, watching the two at a distance, two people smirked as the two mist ninja parted.  

"I like the purple one.  Do you think I can take her?"

"Sorry Sis.  I don't think she's your type."

"Oh well.  That boy looked kinda cool.  He has that….what do you call it…Mysterious Aura?  I wanna see what he look like with any mask."

"Good.  I kinda like the girl.  I think I'll go play with her first."

"Can I warm her up for you?"

"What about mystery boy?  He may get away."

"Oh right.  OK then.  Have fun brother."

The woman left to go after the Mist Anbu.  The man stepped forward and walked straight for the kunoichi.

Ame stood up and took her stance.  A purple-haired man wearing an Akatsuki cloak walked into the clear wear a polite smile.  Ame admitted that he was quite handsome, but that wasn't going to make her lower her guard.

"Who are you and what the hell are you wearing?"

"Isn't it more polite to introduce yourself before asking others?"

"I'm going to be your killer.  Now who are you?"

The man frowned.  "That's not nice.  Come on, give me a name."

Ame threw three kunai at the man, but ended up hitting a chunk of wood, a substitution jutsu.  The man reappeared behind her.  

"How about I tell you something about me and you tell me something that you deem eqivilant in importance?  I am a former ninja of the Mountain village.  Your turn."

Ame spun to kick him, but he was gone again.  She turned again making a bunch of hand signs.

"Water-style, Water Dragon Jutsu!"

A torrent of water was summoned from the lake and shot at the mountain ninja who had reappeared.  

"Woah.  Fire-style, Firewall Jutsu."  A wall of fire appears in front of him and the dragon was turned to steam.  "That's not that nice either."

Ame had jumped up into a tree.  "Steam-style, Water Ghost Jutsu."

The steam reformed back into a dragon, mimicking the previous water jutsu, the steam dragon shot at the man.

"HOLY CR-"

The Akatsuki was barely able to sidestep the attack.  The tree behind him were smashed to splinters.

"That's quite a jutsu young miss."

"FLATTERY WILL GET YOU NOWHERE!"

The steam dragon reformed behind him.  He smiled.

"I think it's time we stopped this."

The dragon charged but was suddenly split in half by a blade of flames.  He swung the blade and the flames dies down, showing that he was holding a very long kunai that could almost pass for a sword.  

"Now can we talk?"

Ame was stunned a bit by the show of power, but refused to back down.

"No.  I'm still going to beat you to a pulp."

The man ran a hand through his hair.

"Guess I have no choice.  I'll make you want to talk."

"Like Hell!"

The man chuckled.  "Then let it be demonic.  Joukagan."  He looked directly at her, his eyes suddenly glowing an elegant purple.

Ame was caught in his gaze.  She knew she should look away and put up some guard, but for some reason she couldn't.  She just felt like she could be at peace if she continued watching.  The man walked up slowly keeping his eyes on hers.  He lifted her chin, apparently to get a better look at her face.  Ame felt herself blush, though she didn't have any idea why.  Nor did she care.

"Now miss, will you please give me your name?"

Ame tried her best to keep her mouth shut, but she saw no reason why to not obey him.

"Ame Funayurei, Chuunin of the Mist Village."

"See?  Was that too hard?  My name is Kashin Aiyoku, a Member of the Guren Akatsuki."

Ame just continued to look into his eyes.  She wanted to ask who the Guren Akatsuki was, but she didn't think she was allowed to.  A small voice in her head was telling her to snap out of it, but that was silenced by his beautiful gaze.

"Now my pet, I have a request."  Ame's heart lifted.  She would be happy to do anything for this man.  "Can you go find more kunoichi to bring here?  I would like to get more assistance in conquering this village.  You wouldn't mind doing this for me, would you?"

Ame's mind suddenly filled with names off all her fellow kunoichi.  She gave a small nod in agreement.  She didn't care if she would be betraying her village as long as she could continue to look into his eyes.

"Good Girl.  Now go on an-"  

"HOLD IT!!!"  Kashin ducked just in time to avoid the sword that swung over Ame's head.  

"What the hell?"

Kashin looked up at the newcomer who was wearing a long white coat.  He held a black-bladed sword in one hand and a white-bladed sword in the other. The Akatsuki grinned.

"Well, Well, Well.  If it isn't the Bloody Eclipse of the Mist."

The mist ninja took a defensive stance, with his two blades crossed in front of him and grinned.  "So you know me.  Good.  Then you know why you're about to die."  The ninja ran forward.  "It's because you faught against Ryou Moya!"
